Pizza Roll-ups
Ingredients
- 1 tube (13.8 oz / 390 g) refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 cup pizza sauce, divided
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup sliced pepperoni (or cooked sausage, ham, or vegetables)
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Roll the pizza dough into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread ½ cup pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a ½-inch border around the edges.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
- Add the pepperoni and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
- Starting from the long side, roll the dough tightly into a log.
- Slice into 1-inch (2.5 cm) rounds and place them cut-side up on the prepared baking tray.
- Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with parsley if using.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Warm the remaining ½ cup pizza sauce and serve it alongside for dipping.
Tips
- Add mushrooms, olives, bell peppers, onions, or spinach for a veggie version.
- Use cooked chicken or beef instead of pepperoni for a different flavor.
- Sprinkle extra Parmesan on top during the last 5 minutes of baking for a crispier finish.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven or air fryer.
