Pan-Seared Lemon Garlic White Fish
Pan-Seared Lemon Garlic White Fish
Ingredients
- 4 white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, haddock, or mahi-mahi)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest (optional)
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- Lemon slices, for serving
Instructions
- Pat the fish dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the seasoning evenly over both sides of the fish.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the fish for 3–4 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until golden brown and it flakes easily with a fork.
- Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and minced garlic to the pan. Cook for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly so the garlic doesn’t burn.
- Stir in the lemon juice and lemon zest. Spoon the buttery sauce over the fish for 1 minute.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with lemon slices.
